This is the most worse place that I ever seen. Don't recommend for working or studying at NZTC. 02 Sep 17 star

Seven of the nine reviews posted are negative. The other two reviews are fake and can only be from senior management. This is by far the worst place I have ever worked. The reviews about valuing your sanity, junior staff spying and the imposed religious element are absolutely correct. If you do have any other choice what so ever, do not take a job at NZ Tertiary College. Nepotism and cronyism are very apparent. Staff are constantly told off and these events are repeated over and over without justification. The CEO appears to have little or no management skills and definitely micromanages. The CEOs partner does not escape humiliation in front of staff. It is a very personal and scary environment. I felt victimised. NZQA or WorkSafe, please look at this organisation. 19 Feb 17 star

NZTC higher level management don't know how to communicate throughout the company nor do they listen to their staff who are pulling long hours (with no renumeration). NZTC claim to live by their core values but these values are not upheld towards their staff. The owners are 7th day adventist and these religious views are pushed upon staff. GM has almost no people skills and errs towards bullying. CEO attempts to micromanage the entire company (not well) causing a lot of unnecessary stress and pressure on the ground staff. If you want to be a number at a "family owned" company you should work here. In the short time I was employed there would have been at least 10 people resign and in the few weeks after leaving another 2 people - roles across the board. If you value your sanity and happiness do yourself a favour and stay away. 02 Oct 16 starstar half

Worst mistake I ever made was taking a job here. So glad I got out. 09 Sep 16 star

CEO and GM not always on the same page, leads to mixed messages which are very confusing for staff. High turn over rate, especially amongst the academic staff. A lot of pettiness, eg asking staff to spy on others. Within a week of being there I had heard senior managers bad mouthing junior staff and sharing details of what should be confidential employment matters. Definitely looking to move on. 20 Jul 16 starstar half
